Job summary

St Anne’s RC Voluntary Academy, a leading Catholic secondary school, is seeking an outstanding SENCO to join our dedicated team. The role focuses on leading SEND provision, coordinating strategy, and improving outcomes within a Catholic learning community.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, pursue NASENCO if not already qualified, and demonstrate experience with SEND students. Start date January 2027; closing date 1 October 2026; interviews 9 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• lead the development of teaching and learning for SEND pupils across the school
• have overall responsibility for determining the strategic vision and development of SEND provision across the school
• have day-to-day responsibility for the coordination of SEND provision to support individual pupils
• monitor, evaluate and review the curriculum delivered to pupils ensuring it meets their needs, deepens their learning and leads to outstanding outcomes
• inspire and engage staff and pupils in the vision for the school
