Job summary

Polaris Education is seeking an experienced SENCO for Easthorpe School in Nottinghamshire. The role centers on developing SEN policy, delivering targeted interventions, and coordinating EHCP reviews to support pupils aged 7-13 with SEMH and related needs.

Requires QTS and NASENCO/NPQ or willingness to undertake. The successful candidate will join a school focused on high-quality education and safeguarding, with an enhanced DBS process supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• QTS required and eligible for SENCO role.
• NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs preferred or willingness to undertake.
• Experience with pupils with Autism and/or SEMH is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic development of SEN policy and provision across the school.
• Design and deliver targeted interventions to reduce attainment gaps.
• Assess and monitor pupils' progress in line with EHCPs.
• Coordinate and chair EHCP annual reviews.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
• Lead Early Help and multi-agency collaboration as appropriate.
• Hold Designated Teacher responsibility for looked-after children.
