Job summary

The Learning Experience in Weybridge is seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. You will plan, deliver, and assess activities that support children's development within EYFS, creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 2+ Early Years qualification, experience in an early years setting, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and SEND support to help every child learn, play and grow in our modern, purpose-built

Qualifications

• Requires a full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (essential).
• Experience in an early years setting (Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities that support children’s development.
• Create a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line with EYFS.
• Track and celebrate developmental milestones.
• Build positive relationships with families.
• Work with colleagues to maintain high standards of care.
• Follow safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Lead and champion support for children with SEND, ensuring active participation in learning.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and external professionals to deliver personalised support plans.

Salary: Up to £30,000 per year (dependent on qualifications & experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: Weybridge, Surrey

Your Role

As a SENCO Nursery Practitioner, You Will

• Plan and deliver activities that support children’s development
• Create a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line with EYFS
• Track and celebrate developmental milestones
• Build positive relationships with families
• Work with colleagues to maintain high standards of care
• Follow safeguarding and child protection policies
• Lead and champion support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can actively participate in learning and achieve their full potential
• Collaborate with families, staff, and external professionals to deliver personalised support plans that effectively meet each child’s individual needs.
• Creating an inclusive, caring environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.

About You

We are seeking someone who has:

• A full & relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
• Experience in an early years setting (Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
• A passion for early childhood education and commitment to excellence
• Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.
