Job summary

Horizon Care and Education Group is seeking an inspirational SENCO for Thornycroft School in Oldham, to lead SEN provision and raise standards of teaching for pupils aged 5-19 with complex needs.

The successful candidate must hold a SENCO Qualification or be close to completion and have QTS, with a passion for ensuring all young people succeed within a collaborative staff team. Interviews W/C 19th October.

Qualifications

• Must hold a SENCO Qualification or be close to completing.
• Must have a QTS status.
• Have a robust understanding of SEND Code of practice.
• Understanding of SEMH education and how to support SEMH pupils.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEN provision and teaching standards for pupils aged 5-19 with SEN.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support individual learner outcomes.
• Contribute to school improvement and safeguarding practices.
