Job summary

Polaris Education's Sutherland Hall School in Tamworth is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead the strategic development of the school's SEN policy and provision. The role involves designing interventions, monitoring EHCPs, and coordinating annual reviews within a supportive, child-centred environment.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (or be willing to complete NPQ for SENCOs) and will contribute to a committed team delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• National Award for SEN Co-ordination or willingness to complete NPQ for SENCOs.
• Experience with SEN policy development and school improvement planning.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development of the school's SEN policy and provision.
• Help design and deliver interventions to reduce attainment gaps.
• Assess and monitor pupils' progress in line with EHCPs.
• Coordinate, lead, oversee and prepare annual reviews.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and liaise with partners to support pupils.
