Job summary

Lime Wood Primary School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENCO) to lead inclusive practice and drive high-quality SEND provision. The role includes strategic oversight of the Inclusion Base (SRP), working with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure strong outcomes for pupils.

As SENCO you will develop and review SEN Support Plans, lead staff, and engage in continuous professional development to maintain an exceptional SEND

Qualifications

  • QTS and SEN Coordination award or willingness to pursue it.
  • Experience supporting primary SEND across age groups.
  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Ability to write compelling applications for additional support from LA and agencies.
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies to get best pupil outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Inclusion Base (SRP) strategy and delivery.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies for pupil support.
  • Provide strategic leadership to sustain inclusive ethos.
  • Lead and manage support staff to deliver SEND provision.
