Job summary

Academics partners with an Alternative Provision School in Yardley, Birmingham seeking an experienced SENCO for KS3/KS4 pupils with EHCPS who predominantly present SEMH needs, alongside ASD and ADHD.

With a maximum of 15 students, this is a chance to lead SEND standards, support EHCPs, collaborate with teachers and external organisations, and ensure timely interventions to drive positive outcomes in a nurturing environment.

We, Academics, are working closely with an Alternative Provision School located in Yardley who are seeking a experienced and dedicated SENCO to join their team. The school supports Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 pupils with EHCPS, who primarily present SEMH needs, alongside ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviours.

The role includes:

• Leading and overseeing SEND standard across the school
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
• Working closely with teachers and outside organisations
• Monitoring pupils progress and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
• Supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment
