Vision for Education are working in close partnership with an independent School in Cranbrook who is currently seeking for an SENCO to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthuastuic SENCO to support each individual child with special educational needs to reach their full potential getting the support they deserve and need.

As a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, you will work closely with the Students, Families and Teachers to plan and adapt each child’s development in learning and Monitor their progress using different Behaviour Plans and techniques.

The Role:

  • Lead on all aspects of SEND provision across the school
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
  • Monitor and review EHCPs, IEPs, and other support plans
  • Ensure statutory requirements and best practices in SEND are implemented
  • Provide guidance, CPD, and support for staff in inclusive teaching and differentiation
  • Be an advocate for children with SEND, promoting a culture of equity and inclusion

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or be willing to undertake it)
  • Proven experience in a similar SENCO or inclusion-focused role
  • Excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
  • A caring, positive attitude and a child-centred approach to education
