SENDCO at large secondary school in Southwark needed


Location: Southwark, South East     Salary: Leadership Scale (dependent on experience)     Start Date: September 2025     Full time Only

Now, we are seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary SENDCO to lead our provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).


About the Role
  • You will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences and outcomes for our SEND students, ensuring that every young person is supported to reach their potential. Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, families, and external agencies, you will:
  • Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the academy
  • Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate interventions and personalised support plans
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and all statutory requirements
  • Provide professional guidance and CPD for staff on inclusive teaching
  • Champion student voice and advocate for their needs within the school community
