Job Title: SENCO (Maternity Cover)

Location: Birmingham
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 year – Maternity Cover)
Salary: Dependent on experience + SEN Allowance

We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to cover maternity leave from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to lead on inclusion within a school that truly lives its values.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the school’s SEND provision, ensuring high-quality support and interventions
  • Lead inclusive teaching strategies and whole-school initiatives
  • Collaborate with students, families, staff and external agencies to promote positive outcomes
  • Guide and train teaching staff on effective SEND strategies
  • Manage and review EHCPs and access arrangements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, empathy and leadership skills
