About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the TS26 Hartlepool area. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised one-to-one tuition during weekday school hours, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions.
- Support students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Promote confidence, independence, and academic achievement.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated learning.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Reliable, patient, and committed approach to supporting learners.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification, degree, or relevant educational background.
- Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
- Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN support strategies.
