Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Tutor in Northumberland to deliver tailored 1:1 or small group sessions during school hours, in students’ homes or community learning hubs. The role supports students with SEN, helping them regain confidence and progress academically.
Ideal candidates hold QTS, UK classroom teaching experience, and a background in education for children. Availability ranges from 6 to 15 hours per week per student, with compensation up to £30 per hour.
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils, SEN teams and Schools throughout the UK. We have a high demand for one-to-one or small group SEN Tutors who have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Northumberland area.
As a SEN Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons that are tailored to each individual student. You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience of working with children in a therapeutic way. One of your aims will be to support the pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine and continue their educational development until a suitable placement is found.
The tuition is replacing school for these young people and each individual is commissioned for a certain amount of hours, taking place during school hours, five days a week. Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports. We can accommodate both part time and full time hours.
