Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Tutor in Bishop Auckland to deliver 1:1 or small group sessions for students with SEN. The role involves planning personalised lessons, recording progress, and reporting to families.
Work may occur at the student’s home or in community settings, during school hours, with flexible part-time or full-time hours. Candidates should have UK classroom teaching experience and a related qualification.
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils, SEN teams and Schools throughout the UK. We have a high demand for one-to-one or small group SEN Tutors who have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) children in the Bishop Auckland area.
As a SEN Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons that are tailored to each individual student. You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience of working with children in a therapeutic way. One of your aims will be to support the pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine and continue their educational development until a suitable placement is found.
The tuition is replacing school for these young people and each individual is commissioned for a certain amount of hours, taking place during school hours, five days a week. Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports. We can accommodate both part time and full time hours.
