Job summary

Powertutors Ltd is seeking experienced tutors to deliver long-term, one-to-one tuition in pupils' homes across Redhill and nearby areas. Sessions focus on Maths and English, within EYFS to GCSE and Functional Skills levels, tailored to each learner's needs and EHCP goals.

Ideal candidates will have SEND experience (ASD/ADHD/SEMH), a degree, and own transport. A current Enhanced DBS and safeguarding training are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND learners, particularly ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• A degree and substantial specialist teaching or tutoring experience.
• Based in or near Redhill with own transport.
• A current Enhanced DBS. If you don't have one, we'll guide you through it from day one.
• Safeguarding training (Level 2 or above) from the last two years.
• The right to live and work in the UK.
• QTS is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver long-term, one-to-one tuition in pupils' homes, typically in Maths and English.

SUMMARY

• Pay: £25 - £35 per hour
• Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, term time only
• Location: Redhill and nearby areas [Caterham, Reigate and Horley]
• Key Stages: EYFS to GCSE, including Functional Skills
• Setting: 1:1 in the pupil's home or community setting
• Job type: Self Employed or PAYE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who believe every learner can thrive with the right support.

Our students are children and young people educated at home, most with an EHCP. Many have autism, ADHD or SEMH needs.

You'll deliver long-term, one-to-one tuition in their homes, typically in Maths and English, at the level you specialise in: play-based EYFS, primary, secondary or Functional Skills. You'll adapt each session to the learner, work towards their EHCP outcomes, and track and share their progress.
