Job summary

Powertutors Ltd is seeking experienced tutors to deliver one-to-one tuition in pupils' homes or community settings across EYFS to GCSE, including Functional Skills. Sessions are usually in Maths and English, tailored to the learner's EHCP outcomes.

A DBS check is required, with safeguarding training up to date. Roles are available on a self-employed or PAYE basis, with term-time hours and transport required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND learners, particularly ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• A degree and substantial specialist teaching or tutoring experience.
• Based in or near one of these areas, with your own transport.
• A current Enhanced DBS. If you don't have one, we'll guide you through it from day one.
• Safeguarding training (Level 2 or above) from the last two years.
• The right to live and work in the UK.
• QTS is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver long-term, one-to-one tuition in the pupil's home or community setting.
• Typically tutor Maths and English at your specialist level (EYFS to GCSE).
• Adapt each session to the learner and work towards EHCP outcomes.
• Track and share learner progress with families and our team.

SUMMARY

• Pay: £25 - £35 per hour
• Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, term time only
• Location: Alton and nearby areas [Borden and Petersfield]
• Key Stages: EYFS to GCSE, including Functional Skills
• Setting: 1:1 in the pupil's home or community setting
• Job type: Self Employed or PAYE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who believe every learner can thrive with the right support.

Our students are children and young people educated at home, most with an EHCP. Many have autism, ADHD or SEMH needs.

You’ll deliver long-term, one-to-one tuition in their homes, typically in Maths and English, at the level you specialise in: play-based EYFS, primary, secondary or Functional Skills. You’ll adapt each session to the learner, work towards their EHCP outcomes, and track and share their progress.
