Job summary

Developmentif is seeking experienced SEN tutors to support students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism and other needs. Tutors deliver personalised lessons in core subjects and life skills, adapt teaching to individual styles and report progress.

You will plan and deliver engaging sessions, manage challenging behaviours, and provide monthly progress reports. Opportunities for both in-person and online tutoring, with flexible hours in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN teaching (Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to adapt lessons to suit a variety of learning styles.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills.
• Plan and deliver engaging sessions.
• Apply skills to raise pupils' confidence.
• Manage children with challenging behaviour.
• Track the learning progress and provide monthly reports.
• Potentially engage in outdoor activities with the student.
• Use visuals to aid communication where needed.

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutors to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of students. If you're passionate about helping children with unique learning needs and thrive in a personalised teaching environment, we want to hear from you!

Ideal Candidates:

• Have experience in SEN teaching (Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, etc.)
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to adapt lessons to suit a variety of learning styles
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success
• Qualified in education or relevant SEN-related fields (QTS/PGCE/SEN qualifications)

This tutor role involves:

• planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
• plan and deliver engaging sessions.
• apply skills to raise pupils' confidence.
• manage children with challenging behaviour.
• track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports.
• potentially engage in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student,
• learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.
