Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to support children in the Bracknell area on a one-to-one basis, delivering personalised learning outside a traditional classroom. The role requires QTS or equivalent and UK classroom experience, with sessions at home, in the community, or online.

You’ll create and implement tailored plans for pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other needs, liaising with families and professionals. This is a temporary, part-time position with a flexible timetable.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to tutor individuals with SEN, including ASD/ADHD/SEMH or learning difficulties.
• Experience delivering personalised learning plans based on EHCPs.
• Use engaging strategies to promote learning and build confidence.

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor

• QTS or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
• Be confident teaching GCSE classes online
• Provide a firm but fair approach
• Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references.
