Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a Therapies Assistant to support Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists at Longdon Hall School in Staffordshire. The role involves working with our education team to provide tailored interventions and assessments for pupils with special educational needs.

You will work under qualified clinicians, contributing to communication and sensory profiles, placement plans, and a range of evidence-based activities.

Qualifications

• 5 x GCSE’s Grade C or above, including English
• Evidence of relevant Post 16 education
• Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required
• Experience working as a therapy assistant or in a similar role would be advantageous
• Experience of working within an educational setting would be advantageous
• Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Support the work of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists
• Provide evidence-based assessments and interventions under supervision
• Help create communication and sensory profiles and contribute to placement plans
• Deliver a range of interventions and observe, co-facilitate staff training
• Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to service development
