Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is recruiting a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming mainstream school in Wisbech. You will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning and feel included at school.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will support learning, behaviour and social development while contributing to a positive classroom environment. This role suits patient, reliable individuals with a passion for SEN.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN including ASD or ADHD would be advantageous.
• Patience, calm, reliable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to a child's school day?

Vision for Education is looking for a caring and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely mainstream school in Wisbech.

You'll provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and feel happy and included at school. Your day is likely to be a mix of supporting various children on a 1-1 or small group basis as well as supporting the class teacher in a more general way.

The role

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will:

• Provide consistent 1:1 SEN support
• Help make learning accessible and engaging
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Work towards the pupil's EHCP targets
• Encourage confidence, independence and social skills

What we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you're patient, calm, reliable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

Previous experience with SEN, including ASD or ADHD, would be an advantage. This could be from a school, care or other child-focused setting.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can build a positive relationship with a child and provide the consistent support they need to thrive.

• £93-£105 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
