Job summary

Vision for Education is hiring a caring and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream school in Haverhill. You’ll provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and feel happy and included at school.

Working with the class teacher and SENCO, you will support learning, regulate behaviour and help the pupil progress towards EHCP targets, encouraging independence and social skills.

Qualifications

• Patience, calm, reliable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience with SEN including ASD or ADHD would be an advantage.
• Ability to build a positive relationship with a child and provide consistent support.

What we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you’re patient, calm, reliable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

Previous experience with SEN, including ASD or ADHD, would be an advantage. This could be from a school, care or other child-focused setting.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can build a positive relationship with a child and provide the consistent support they need to thrive.

What you’ll receive

• £93–£105 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
