Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Cannock (WS11) is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time only position. The role involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with various SEN, collaboration with teachers and specialists, and creating an inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with SEN, patience, and strong communication skills. A TA qualification or relevant experience is desirable, with pay £95–£115 per day depending on

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support children with SEND, autism, communication difficulties, behavioural needs and additional learning needs.
• Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and independence.
• Support pupils inside and outside the classroom to access the curriculum.
• Assist teachers with delivering lessons and adapting activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social, emotional and communication development.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEND staff, therapists and parents on education plans.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage independence and essential life and learning skills.
