Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN across specialist schools and provisions in Telford and Shropshire. No prior SEN experience is required, as full training and ongoing support are provided.

Candidates with experience in care, youth work, sports coaching or psychology are welcome, and a DBS (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one is required. This role offers weekly PAYE pay and wide local opportunities.

Qualifications

DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
The right to work in the UK.
Experience in care, youth work, sports, psychology, support work or similar is beneficial.
A genuine interest in SEN and specialist education.
Willingness to train and develop within a specialist education setting.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with additional needs to feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
Help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Support teachers and SEN staff with individual learning and behaviour strategies.
Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
Bring positivity, patience and resilience to every school day.
