Job summary

Operam Education is partnering with a dedicated secondary SEN provision in Twickenham to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting ASAP.

You will support pupils aged 11–16 with Autism and complex learning needs in small classes, helping them build confidence, independence and resilience.

This is an inclusive employer; enhanced DBS required, QTS not mandatory for TA; you'll work with teachers, therapists and support staff to create a calm, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with Autism or SEND.
• Patience, empathy and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• A team player who models kindness and positivity every day.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism and complex needs.
• Helping young people build confidence, independence and resilience.
• Supporting EHCPs and personalised learning plans alongside class teachers.
• Creating a calm, safe and engaging environment where every pupil can thrive.
• Collaborating with a passionate team of teachers, therapists and support staff.
