Job summary

INDELSEC in South West London is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of needs in a mainstream secondary school.

You will work with the SENCo and staff to adapt learning activities, provide one-to-one support, and monitor progress, reporting to teachers and parents.

A Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent experience is required; strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential; ongoing professional development is provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience with SEN.
• Experience with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: South West London

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team across South West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream secondary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with the SENCo and teaching staff to support students with SEN in the classroom.
• Implement and adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
• Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN as required, including behavioural, emotional, and social support.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
• Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.

Knowledge of the National Curriculum and relevant policies and procedures for supporting students with SEN.
