Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Bolton secondary school. You will assist pupils with SEN in lessons, run small-group interventions and help learners access the curriculum within school hours.

Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support social, emotional and behavioural development, building positive relationships and encouraging independence for pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.

Qualifications

• Experience as SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant in a mainstream secondary school.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in lessons and small-group interventions.
• Help pupils access and engage with the curriculum.
• Support students' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO.
• Build positive relationships and encourage independence.
