Full Job Description

A lovely school in Newham is seeking individuals to trial now who are passionate about working with young people with Autism. You will need to have KS2 or secondary SEN experience, and be competent to develop and deliver a multi-sensory learning experience based upon individual Education Health Care Plans and communication requirements.

The hours for this role are (phone number removed)pm, 5-days-per-week.

The ideal SEN teaching assistant for this role should:

  • Have experience, or a passion for working with students with additional needs, especially Autism
  • Have knowledge or understanding of how to support children with SEN
  • Be flexible, proactive and patient
  • Be nurturing in their approach and interventions
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Have a background in Education, Care, Social work, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
