Motivated SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Tower Hamlets Position : SEN Teaching Assistant Location : Tower Hamlets, East London Contract : Full-time, Permanent A secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a motivated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The school is committed to providing an inclusive education for students with a variety of special educational needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people, supporting their academic and personal growth.

Role Overview: In this role, you will assist students with a range of SEN, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

You will work under the guidance of the SENCo and alongside classroom teachers to deliver tailored support, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, ensuring they can engage with lessons and complete tasks.

Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and learning interventions.

Support students with physical disabilities, helping them access the learning environment and participate in all school activities.

Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to reports.

Encourage positive behavior and work with students to develop their social and emotional skills.

Support students in developing independence, while also providing personalized support when needed.

What We’re Looking For: Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a secondary school setting.

Knowledge and understanding of different SEN, including learning disabilities and SEMH.

A proactive, solution-focused approach to overcoming challenges and supporting students.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
