Job Description:

Overview and Responsibilities

This role involves supporting students with their learning and wellbeing at Aurora Wilden View, a school dedicated to students with SEMH needs. You will work with small class sizes, build strong relationships, support with care needs, and promote positive behaviour. The position requires establishing supportive relationships, supporting the curriculum, and promoting independence and personal development among pupils. Hours are from 8 am to 5 pm on Mondays, 8 am to 4 pm Tuesday to Thursday, and 8 am to 4 pm on Fridays, with additional time for training and development. The role is full-time, permanent, and term-time only.

Skills and Qualifications

• Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or equivalent (desirable)
• GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above (essential)
• Experience in an education setting
• Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
• Experience working with SEMH learners with complex needs
• Commitment to putting the child first
