Job summary

Aspire People is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of schools in Spalding and surrounding areas. Flexible day-to-day placements and temp-to-perm opportunities offer variety, development, and competitive daily pay.

Join a network of primary, secondary, and SEN schools with support from a dedicated education consultant to help you secure the right opportunities. DBS checks will be completed through Aspire People where needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred
• A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential
• A degree or significant experience in supporting students is welcomed
• Strong communication skills and patience
• A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for supporting diverse learners
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check through Aspire People (unless already on the Update Service)

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored lessons
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEN
• Support the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of students
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work with other staff and outside agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students
• Keep accurate records of progress and provide feedback to teachers
