Job summary

Aspire People are currently recruiting Psychology graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants across schools in Rochdale, with a range of long-term opportunities available.

The ideal candidate will have a UK degree in Psychology and prior experience supporting children with SEN through placements, volunteering or employment. A DBS on the Update Service and strong references are required.

Qualifications

• UK degree in Psychology or related subject
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Experience via placements/volunteering/internships
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• DBS on Update Service
• References covering last 2 years

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in daily classroom activities
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and behavioural support
• Monitor pupil welfare and safety and report concerns
