Zusammenfassung

Smile Education is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Hyde, Greater Manchester. You will provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, working closely with the teaching staff to help learners access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2/3 TA qualification, have UK classroom experience, and demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• 6 months+ recent UK classroom experience
• Experience with SEN is desirable
• Good understanding of inclusive education and differentiated learning
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Patient, nurturing and child-centred approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Ability to build trusting relationships with children
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning

Aufgaben

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
• Help pupils access and participate in learning activities
• Support the class teacher and SENCO
• Assist pupils with communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and resilience
• Support pupil confidence, independence and social skills
• Adapt activities and resources to individual needs
• Monitor pupil progress and communicate concerns
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to individual support plans as required
