Job summary

Academics is supporting a wonderful primary school in Wokingham seeking a SEN Support Assistant to commence in September. You will work with pupils with additional needs, providing tailored, one-on-one and small-group support to help them access learning and stay engaged in class.

Working with the class teacher, you will adapt learning plans, foster an inclusive environment, and communicate effectively with parents and professionals.

Qualifications

• A kind, empathetic individual committed to improving outcomes for children with SEN.
• Experience in a school or educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals.
• Positive, patient and adaptable attitude toward daily challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to children with SEN, one-on-one and in small groups.
• Work with the class teacher to implement and adapt individual learning programmes.
