Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Romford. You will provide targeted support to pupils with SEN and help them engage with learning and develop academically and socially.

The role requires 1:1 and small-group support, assisting with lessons, encouraging positive behaviour, and working closely with teachers and staff to help pupils build confidence and independence in a caring, patient environment. Full-time, immediate start.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Experience in a primary school setting is desirable.
• Patient, caring and understanding.
• Confident supporting pupils with diverse needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic.
• Available to work full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support pupils with their learning and development.
• Assist with classroom activities and lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff.
