Ace Academics are recruiting a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant / LSA to join a specialist education setting in Hammersmith & Fulham, London.

You will support primary-aged pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional needs, helping them re-engage with education and progress academically, socially and emotionally in very small class sizes.

The role features intensive 1:1 and 1:2 support, close collaboration with teachers and SEN professionals, and a long-term, full-time contract.

Qualifications

  • Experience as SEN TA or LSA in primary settings.
  • Ability to work 1:1 or 1:2 with pupils.
  • Experience with SEN and SEMH is desirable.
  • Patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

£120 - £135 per day | Full Time | Long Term

Ace Academics are recruiting a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Hammersmith & Fulham.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an extremely small, highly personalised learning environment, with typically just 1–2 pupils in a class. You will support primary-aged pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional needs, helping them re-engage with education and make progress academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role
  • Supporting SEN primary-aged pupils in classes of typically just 1–2 students
  • Providing intensive 1:1 and highly personalised support
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Helping pupils access literacy, numeracy and the wider primary curriculum
  • Building trusted relationships with pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education
  • Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Adapting your approach to each pupil's individual needs and learning style
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN professionals and pastoral staff
  • Helping create a calm, nurturing and consistent learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, LSA, Learning Support Practitioner or SEND Support Worker
  • Experience supporting primary-aged children with additional needs
  • Comfortable working closely with pupils on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis
  • Experience with SEN and/or SEMH is highly desirable
  • Patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Confident supporting children who may require additional help with engagement, behaviour or emotional regulation
  • A genuine interest in specialist and alternative education
  • Committed to safeguarding and pupil well-being
