Job summary

Shropshire Council is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract to support identified pupils with specific additional needs. The role is 30 hours per week, term time only, 8:45am–3:15pm, Monday to Friday, with a start date to be confirmed.

The successful candidate should be positive, patient and adaptable, and enjoy teamwork to make a difference for a child in our schools. The position is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with potential re-evaluation thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Support identified pupils with additional needs in classroom activities.

£13.92 to £14.14 per hour
Fixed Term initially until 31/08/2027

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to primarily work with and support identified pupils with specific additional needs. The successful applicant must love working with children, be able to embrace challenge and relish being part of a team who are passionate about making a difference.

The right candidate will be positive, patient and adaptable; building on their existing knowledge and skills to work collaboratively with our dedicated staff team to support a specific child.

We can offer you a full-time, fixed-term position initially until August 31st 2027. From this point the position would be re-evaluated with the prospect of continuing into the next academic year.
