Job summary

Lum Head Primary School on Troutbeck Rd, Cheadle SK8 4RR is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with Midday Assistant duties to join a busy, supportive team. The role combines SEN support in the classroom and our alternative provision base with planned intervention delivery, while a midday duty supports lunch-time supervision.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Love working with children and maintaining high expectations for progress.
• Proven track record of helping children to make excellent progress.
• Experience supporting teaching and learning within EYFS/KS1/KS2.
• Experience in delivering targeted intervention support.
• Excellent organisational skills and willingness to take on a challenge.
• Thorough understanding of the needs of young children, especially those with SEND such as ASD and complex needs.
• Ability to work well in a team and be kind yet clear about expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND in the classroom and our alternative provision base.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate intervention programs.
• Assist with day-to-day teaching and learning activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and learning outcomes.
