Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced and supportive school in Billericay. You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, helping students with communication, emotional regulation, and learning goals.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals in a calm, structured environment. The ideal candidate has experience with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs, a calm and patient approach, and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
