Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in St Albans and surrounding areas during the new academic year.

You will work school hours on a term-time schedule, with no weekends. A warm, patient personality and empathy are highly valued as you become a daily mentor and support for students who need extra help to thrive.

All roles require DBS checks and safeguarding training as part of joining our partner schools.

Qualifications

• Genuine heart for helping children; warm personality and a can-do attitude.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtainone.
• Right to work in the UK; overseas police check if recently arrived.

Responsibilities

• You will be a mentor, a cheerleader and a daily support system for students who need that extra help to thrive.
• Support pupils with SEN to flourish during school hours.
• Work with partner schools across St Albans and surrounding areas.
