Job summary

The Brier School, including the Unicorn Satellite Centre is a successful all-through special school serving pupils with complex learning needs. Our designation is for 'moderate learning difficulties', however in recent years, the complexity of pupils joining The Brier School has increased significantly.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our caring team. The role is term-time only (39 weeks) with 35 hours per week; salary is Grade 3, SCP 4-5, with an SEN allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
• Demonstrates commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Ability to support teaching staff to raise standards and pupil achievement.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff to implement lessons and activities.
• Assist with classroom management and pupil supervision.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support individual or small groups to meet learning targets.
