Job summary

Higham Lane School is inviting applications for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to start as soon as possible. This permanent, term-time role (38 weeks per year) offers 32.25 hours per week with a salary band of £19,836–£21,615.

Successful candidates will support pupils with additional needs under the SEND Coordinator and classroom guidance. Applicants should be qualified or working towards the National Award for Special Educational Needs; training and development opportunities are provided,

Qualifications

Qualified individuals who currently hold or are working towards the National Award for Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities

Address the needs of students with additional needs, individually or in groups, to ensure access to the full curriculum.
Contribute to curriculum planning and evaluation and assist in implementation.
Assist in the delivery of lessons/sessions and interact with teachers and pupils as required.
Undertake agreed learning activities/teaching programmes and adjust activities as needed.
Support pupils to develop communication skills and promote inclusion and positive interactions.
