Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN at a specialist school in Sutton Coldfield. The role is full-time and based on site with daily pay of £92.56–£100.00.

You will work closely with teachers and specialists to provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils access personalised activities, support communication and life skills, and assist with personal care where needed. A passion for SEN and resilience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN or specialist education.
• Strong passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Help pupils access personalised learning activities.
• Support children with ASD, SLD and PMLD and develop communication and life skills.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Support sensory regulation and emotional needs.
• Follow individual care plans and school procedures.
