Job summary

Outcomes First Group, via Oakham Shires School, is seeking caring Teaching Assistants to support pupils with autism and complex needs. You will work with teachers to enable personalised learning, build confidence and develop independence, in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

No prior SEN experience is required; values, patience and motivation will be developed with a supportive team and comprehensive training opportunities. A full UK driving licence is preferred for community activities.

Qualifications

• Caring and patient approach to support pupils.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in specialist education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Assist teachers with creative and personalised learning activities.
• Support pupils with communication, independence and social development.
• Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour using calm, consistent approaches.
• Participate in classroom, outdoor and community-based learning activities.
• Collaborate with staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
