Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude are essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support for children with SEN.
• Deliver differentiated lessons and adapt teaching methods to needs.
• Support personal care, social skills and emotional development.
• Assist with communication, literacy, numeracy and classroom activities.
• Monitor progress and feedback to teachers and parents.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
