Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in King's Heath, offering a supportive environment for staff and pupils. They are looking for a full-time, long-term SEN Teaching Assistant to join a KS1 classroom from September 2026, supporting children with a range of additional needs and delivering tailored interventions to keep pupils engaged throughout the day.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) and have experience with SEN

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1.
• Strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to support across the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEN to deliver tailored interventions.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.
