Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Coleford, Gloucestershire. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of SEND, with opportunities for 1:1 or small-group work, and close collaboration with teaching staff to promote learning, communication, confidence and independence.

We offer a competitive hourly rate (£14.24–£16.00), weekly PAYE pay, immediate start, and long-term, flexible opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• Patience, calm approach and reliable attitude.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Help pupils participate in lessons and activities.
• Support communication, interaction and social skills.
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
• Assist with emotional regulation and sensory activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff.
• Follow individual learning and support plans.
