Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream secondary school in Croydon/Reigate. You will work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to provide targeted support for students with special educational needs.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting students with SEN including ASD/ADHD/SEMH.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEN policies.

Responsibilities

• Support SEN pupils in the mainstream classroom.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Provide one-to-one support and monitor progress.
• Record progress and report to teachers and parents.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of classroom resources.
