Job summary

Oasis Academy Skinner Street is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff in developing and delivering educational provision for learners. The role involves assisting the SENCO, working with pupils individually and in class, and preparing learning resources.

You will contribute to monitoring progress and provide feedback to ensure needs are met, with working hours 08:30–15:30 term time plus 1 inset week.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in partnership with teaching staff.
• Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENCO and work with pupils on whole-class and individual bases.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities and provide pastoral support.
• Contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO.
