Zusammenfassung

Oasis Academy Skinner Street is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff and contribute to the educational provision for learners. You will assist the SENCO, work with pupils individually and in small groups, and help prepare learning resources and pastoral support.

Hours are 08:30–15:30 during term time, plus 1 inset week. The role offers opportunities for professional development and career progression within a supportive school environment.

Qualifikationen

• GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths.
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with teachers.

Oasis Academy Skinner Street currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.

Job overview

You’ll be responsible for supporting the SENCO and working with pupils on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met.

Working hours are 08:30hrs - 15:30hrs term time only plus 1 week for inset days.

Job requirements

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in partnership with teaching staff
• Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
