Job summary

Kisharon Noe School (NW4 1TP) is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Grade 1) to support pupils with their academic and personal development. This role is 35 hours per week, term time only, with a salary of £22,896.36 (inc SEN allowance).

Under the guidance of a senior staff member, you will help prepare lessons, listen to children read, support those needing extra help, and assist teachers with planning, records and behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
• Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or mental health difficulties.
• Experience of using restorative practices.
• Experience of supporting pupils with strategies to enable them to settle to learn.

Responsibilities

• Establish good relationships with pupils and support their welfare.
• Assist teachers in planning learning activities, preparing for lessons and keeping records.
• Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate in learning activities.
• Supervise group activities and assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Administer routine tests and invigilate when required; provide general administrative support.
