Job summary

Aspire People is assisting a Royston-based school in Hertfordshire to recruit a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The role requires SEND experience, GCSEs including English and Maths, a calm, patient and reliable approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. Hours are 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with start ASAP or after notice period.

Qualifications

• Prior SEND experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs in daytime hours.
• Assist the class teacher in activities and supervision.

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Royston, Hertfordshire on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, as this is an essential requirement for the role.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous SEND experience - essential
• GCSEs, including a good standard of English and Maths
• A reliable and hardworking approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confidence supporting children with additional needs
• A calm, patient and consistent manner
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday
• The ability to start ASAP or after completing a current notice period
